Pleasant Valley Elementary students evacuated because of fire
Students of Pleasant Valley Elementary School have been evacuated because of the brush fire in the hills between Washoe Valley and Pleasant Valley.
Students are safe and have been taken to Galena High School, school district spokesman Ron Cooney said in an e-mail.
School staff will stay with the Pleasant Valley students until they are picked up or contact with their parents are made.
